Stockinette Stitch
The Stockinette stitch is the one that most people associate with knitted garments. Because rows of stockinette stitch
will curl the bottom of a garment is knit with either a garter stitch or ribbing. If the top is not sewn to another
knitted piece it would also be knit with either of these two stitches.
